ETH daily report · 2026-10-29

Report date (Beijing):

ETH remains in a five-day TRANSITION regime. The effective score is -0.40 (small reduce); stale MVRV and network data are neutralized, while live ETH/BTC remains below 0.030. BMNR trades near 0.95x estimated ETH-only NAV on a stale official share denominator.

Observation time: 2026-10-29 10:48 Beijing time. Regime comes first. ETH remains in a five-completed-day TRANSITION regime: the completed Binance close is above the 200-day average, but the average still has a deeply negative slope. ETH/BTC is near the lower tail of its five-year distribution, L1 fee capture remains modest, and futures accounts are long-crowded. The effective multi-anchor score is -0.40, mapping to a small reduce. This is not an MVRV-only conclusion.

FMP was discovered and called through the exact mcp__financial_modeling_prep__ namespace. It supplied five-year ETHUSD/BTCUSD history, BMNR/SBET completed closes, market caps, Treasury data and SEC filing discovery. FMP is not used as an authority for on-chain, staking, burn, L2, ETF flows or treasury holdings. CoinMetrics returned explicit access restrictions for IssContNtv, FeeTotUSD and CapRealUSD; equivalent retries stopped. Yahoo DXY returned non-JSON/unusable content. Missing or stale critical anchors are neutral, not imputed.

2. Price regime, structural health and sub-zone

Structural overlay: the completed USD ETH/BTC ratio is 0.028819, at the 12.75th five-year percentile. It does not cross the <10% penalty and does not earn the >60% bonus. Exact L2-to-L1 capture and burn YoY are missing, so neither is assumed healthy. structural_health = 0, explicitly incomplete. Incompleteness caps conviction even though it is not a -2 score.

Sub-zone: Weak-Transition. The MVRV ratio is numerically low but stale, the trend is unconfirmed, and live ETH/BTC is below 0.030. Valuation cheapness is not presented as a clean buy.

3. Multi-anchor valuation

Transition weights: MVRV-Z 20%, real yield 25%, fee revenue yield 10%, ETH/BTC 15%, burn/issuance 10%, L2 capture 10%, network activity 5%, macro 0%, derivatives 5%.

The stale MVRV ratio is not MVRV-Z and contributes zero. Network activity looks constructive but its source timestamp is older than 24 hours, so its score is also neutralized. Real yield remains neutral: BMNR's advertised 2.58% 7-day staking yield cannot substitute for protocol issuance yield, and exact burn is unavailable.

4. Total score and modified action

Effective weighted score: -0.40. Non-neutral scored coverage is 40%; missing or stale weight is not redistributed. The mapping is small reduce. TRANSITION provides no bullish confirmation, and structural coverage is incomplete. Modified action: trim tactical risk modestly; do not make a heavy dip buy.

Valuation and triggers remain separate. A low MVRV ratio is a valuation anchor; price, ETH/BTC, fee/burn and derivatives determine whether action is triggered.

5. Three independent windows

  • Tactical, 1–4 weeks: small reduce / defensive. The two-factor reduction-review line remains active. RSI is weak but not capitulation-level, while funding is positive and accounts are long-crowded. Avoid both a one-block sale and a leveraged short chase.
  • Cyclic, 1–6 months: hold/watch. Price is above SMA200 but its slope is deeply negative. A sustained reclaim of $2,700, ETH/BTC above 0.032 and improving fee/burn evidence are required for an upgrade.
  • Strategic, 6–24 months: retain only a staged core research allocation. Staking and treasury adoption are constructive, but L1 value capture, net issuance and equity dilution remain decisive. Low MVRV alone is insufficient.

6. Hard trigger lines

  • Add A: fresh MVRV≤1.05 plus a completed close holding dynamic SMA200. The stale ratio qualifies numerically but does not confirm the trigger.
  • Add B: completed close above $2,700 and ETH/BTC above 0.032. Not met.
  • Two-factor reduce review: completed ETH close below $2,500 and ETH/BTC below 0.030. Both are met.
  • Trend red line: completed close below dynamic SMA200, about $2,160, while slope remains below -5%. Not met.
  • Structural red lines: ETH/BTC five-year percentile <10%; verified negative real yield; L2 capture <2%; or burn decline >70% for a long duration. Missing fields are not assumed safe.

7. BMNR mapping and scenarios

BMNR closed at $22.05 on Oct 28; FMP market cap was $12.56bn. The Oct 26 official disclosure, with holdings observed Oct 25, reported 6,051,933 ETH, 5,227,037 staked ETH (86.37%), 215 BTC, $514m cash and marketable securities, $180m Beast Industries and $76m ORBS. ETH cost basis was not disclosed.

The newest reconciled official common-share denominator available remains 603,226,394 shares as of July 9. FMP's float feed shows 569,576,806 outstanding shares but cites the May 31 quarterly filing; it is not treated as a current official denominator. The Oct 26 disclosure says 22.9m shares were repurchased during 2026 but does not publish a current denominator. Per-share values are therefore STALE-DENOMINATOR estimates, not current audited NAV.

At live ETHUSDT $2,303.07, estimated ETH per share is 0.010033, ETH-only NAV is $23.11/share, and gross assets including disclosed non-ETH items are about $24.41/share before liabilities, taxes and liquidity discounts. BMNR is about 0.95x ETH-only NAV and 0.90x gross assets on that stale denominator.

ETH scenarioETH-only NAV/share0.75x1.0x1.2xGross-assets/share note
$1,800$18.06$13.54$18.06$21.67$19.36
$2,300$23.07$17.31$23.07$27.69$24.38
$2,700$27.09$20.32$27.09$32.51$28.39
$3,500$35.11$26.34$35.11$42.14$36.42

SBET closed at $7.36 on Oct 28. Same-date official holdings and diluted shares were not verified, so it remains a price-only comparison and no SBET NAV is shown. Caveats: denominator staleness, future ATM issuance/dilution or buybacks, persistent treasury-stock discounts, ETH/BTC weakness and weak L1 fee capture.

8. Cross-asset and macro context

Live aligned ETH/BTC is 0.028864, and the completed USD ratio is 0.028819, at the 12.75th five-year percentile. CoinGecko reported BTC dominance 59.46% and ETH dominance 10.42% around 02:46 UTC. Macro observations: DFII10 2.64% and DGS10 4.99% on Oct 27; WALCL $6.754tn and TGA $0.945tn on Oct 21; RRP $0.000176tn on Oct 28; M2SL $23.414tn for September. FMP's Oct 28 Treasury cross-check showed the 10-year at 5.05%. DXY was unavailable, so macro is DATA_INCOMPLETE and has 0% Transition weight.

9. Sources and caveats

Sources are listed with observation dates below. USDT and USD series are not merged. Returns, SMA, slope, RSI and percentiles were computed locally from dated closes. MVRV ratio is not MVRV-Z. DeFiLlama revenue is a proxy, not audited Ethereum protocol cash flow. TVL is not exact L1 value capture. Supply change is not exact issuance minus burn. ETF flows, exact burn, protocol issuance yield, liquidation data, put/call data and current audited BMNR diluted shares are missing. This is a framework output, not personalized investment advice.
