ETH daily report · 2026-10-15

Report date (Beijing):

ETH remains in a five-day TRANSITION regime, but the Oct. 14 close at $2,421.60 and the completed-day ETH/BTC ratio near 0.02965 jointly triggered the predefined reduction review. The raw multi-anchor score remains -0.20, or hold/watch; the separate trigger layer upgrades the action to a small-reduction review.

Bottom line: ETH remains in a TRANSITION regime for the fifth completed day, but the risk trigger changed materially. ETHUSDT closed Oct. 14 at $2,421.60, while the same-day Binance close ratio versus BTC was about 0.02965; the synchronized live ratio is about 0.02916. The predefined double confirmation—ETH close below $2,500 and ETH/BTC below 0.030—is now met. The raw multi-anchor valuation score is still -0.20 (hold/watch), while the independent trigger layer changes the action to a small-reduction review and a pause in active adding.

CoinMetrics explicitly returned 403 for MVRV-Z, so this report uses only a transparent MVRV ratio proxy, not MVRV-Z. Exact EIP-1559 burn and complete L2-to-L1 revenue capture remain missing and are neutralized. FMP's BMNR share count is dated Oct. 14, but its underlying SEC link is still May 31, creating a stale-denominator warning.

2. Price regime, structure, and sub-zone

The regime is TRANSITION with five-day persistence: price remains above the 200-day SMA, but the SMA slope is far below -5%. The sub-zone is Weak-Transition; an oversold RSI does not by itself make it Cheap-Transition. FMP's aligned USD closes give ETH/BTC at 0.029246, the 14.40th five-year percentile, versus a five-year mean of 0.050040. It has not crossed the <10th-percentile structural penalty, but it has crossed the 0.030 action line.

Provisional structural health is -1. ETH/BTC percentile does not score a penalty; L2_CAPTURE_ESTIMATE is neutral because complete blob-fee/revenue data are missing; the CoinMetrics fee proxy fell 75.1% year over year over the latest 365-day window and creates one proxy structural red flag. This is a fee proxy, not exact burn.

3. Multi-anchor valuation score

Derivatives30-print funding average about +1.05% annualized; OI value +3.65% in 30d; long/short 3.37; perpetual discount 0.05%-0.55%-0.025

Raw total score = -0.20, mapped to hold/watch. MVRV and real yield provide support, while fee yield, ETH/BTC, the burn proxy, and derivatives crowding offset that cheapness. MVRV=1 maps to a realized price of about $2,284.14 on Oct. 14; holding realized price constant, live MVRV is roughly 1.035. Coin movement changes realized capitalization, so $2,284 is not a fixed support level.

4. Three independent windows

  • Tactical, 1–4 weeks: small-reduction review. The double trigger is active. Oversold RSI raises rebound probability but does not cancel risk controls. U.S. ETH ETFs lost about $208.9m over the last five trading days, while the account long/short ratio is 3.37.
  • Cyclical, 1–6 months: defensive hold/watch. Price remains above the 200-day SMA and is not yet BEAR, but the slope is sharply negative and ETH/BTC is far below its five-year mean. A close back above $2,500 together with ETH/BTC above 0.030 would cancel the reduction review.
  • Strategic, 6–24 months: conditionally positive. MVRV near 1 and positive real staking yield improve long-horizon odds, but at least two of fee/burn, L1 capture, and relative strength versus BTC should improve before cheapness becomes a structural buy.

5. Hard trigger lines

  • Reduction double-confirmation triggered: Oct. 14 ETH close $2,421.60 below $2,500 and completed-day ETH/BTC about 0.02965 below 0.030. This calls for a small-reduction review, not wholesale liquidation.
  • Cancel the reduction review: ETH completes a day above $2,500 and ETH/BTC completes a day above 0.030, preferably for two consecutive days.
  • Add review: fresh MVRV at or below 1.05 while a completed close holds the dynamic 200-day SMA; or a close above $2,700 with ETH/BTC above 0.032. The first condition is only near, not fully trend-confirmed.
  • Trend red line: a completed close below the dynamic 200-day SMA near $2,141.52 while slope remains below -5%.
  • Structural red lines: ETH/BTC below the 10th five-year percentile, negative real yield, L2 capture below 2%, or exact burn down more than 70% for a sustained period. Only the fee proxy currently shows a >70% warning.

6. BMNR and SBET mapping

BMNR closed Oct. 14 at $22.25, down 5.28% for the day, 9.77% over seven days, and 13.63% over 30 days. SBET closed at $7.90, down 6.06%, 11.73%, and 13.66% over the same windows. BMNR's latest SEC disclosure, filed Oct. 13 with holdings measured Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. ET, lists 6,028,946 ETH, including 5,067,309 staked ETH; 214 BTC; $612m cash and marketable securities; a $180m Beast Industries stake; and an $85m ORBS stake.

Using FMP's stale 569,576,806 common-share denominator gives 0.010585 ETH per share. At live ETH, ETH-only NAV is about $25.03/share and disclosed total-asset NAV is about $26.60/share. BMNR trades at roughly 0.89x ETH-only NAV and 0.84x total-asset NAV. These figures do not deduct debt, preferred equity, tax, or operating costs and do not include possible ATM dilution after Oct. 11.

ETH scenario0.75x ETH-only NAV1.0x1.2xTotal-asset NAV/share note
$1,800$14.29$19.05$22.86$20.62
$2,200$17.47$23.29$27.94$24.86
$2,500$19.85$26.46$31.75$28.03
$3,000$23.82$31.75$38.11$33.33
$3,500$27.79$37.05$44.46$38.62

The discount is not risk-free arbitrage. Fully diluted shares, ATM issuance, preferred securities, liabilities, taxes, and a persistent treasury-company discount can reduce realizable value. Weak ETH/BTC and weak L1 fee capture can also keep the equity below static NAV.

7. Cross-asset, macro, and final action

BTC closed Oct. 14 at $81,682.01, down 1.79% in one day and 1.97% in seven days but up 4.47% in 30 days, materially outperforming ETH. BTC dominance is 59.49% and ETH dominance 10.55% (CoinGecko, Oct. 15). Farside reports a $19.7m ETH ETF outflow on Oct. 14 and about $208.9m of net outflows over the latest five trading days.

The macro composite is tight but incomplete: FRED 10-year real yield was 2.88% on Oct. 13 and the nominal 10-year yield 5.21%; FMP cross-checked the nominal 10-year at 5.19% on Oct. 14. Federal Reserve assets were $6.748tn and TGA $885.8bn on Oct. 7, RRP was $0.201bn on Oct. 14, and monthly M2 was $23.343tn in August. DXY is DATA_MISSING after FMP access denial and Yahoo 429, so macro is not described as all green; its Transition weight is zero.

Final action: the valuation layer remains hold/watch, while the trigger layer has shifted to a small-reduction review. Execution, if required by a predefined discipline, should be incremental rather than an emotional liquidation. Cancel the review only after ETH reclaims $2,500 and ETH/BTC reclaims 0.030. This is a research signal, not personalized investment advice.
