US telecom operator AT&T announced on November 4, 2026, that its smart home security system, Connected Life, now integrates with Google's Gemini for Home. According to The Verge, AT&T claims this system is the "first" home security product to integrate with Google Home Premium.
The update introduces several Gemini-powered features, including detailed descriptions of events captured by security cameras, searching recorded video footage using natural language questions (such as "Who dug up the yard last night?"), and reviewing daily summaries of activity inside and outside the home. These features are currently available only to subscribers of AT&T's professional $29.99/month Connected Life monitoring plan. Additionally, AT&T is adding the ability to automatically arm or disarm the home based on user proximity.
