American database and cloud services giant Oracle announced on October 27, 2026, at the Oracle AI World conference in Las Vegas, a major new collaboration with artificial intelligence company OpenAI. The partnership aims to integrate OpenAI's frontier models, ChatGPT, and the Codex coding assistant directly into Oracle's enterprise applications, data systems, and cloud infrastructure, reshaping how businesses operate in the AI era.

Central to this collaboration is the launch of "Oracle AI Workspace," a new user experience. This workspace connects Oracle Fusion Applications, NetSuite, Oracle AI Database, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) through plugins in ChatGPT, allowing employees to access information, complete approved business workflows, and execute tasks using AI under governance and controls. Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk stated that the move combines OpenAI's transformative AI capabilities with the critical systems businesses rely on.

Additionally, the companies released "Oracle AI Security Mesh," a managed service using OpenAI cyber models to find and fix vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure, aiming to reduce attack risks. Another new product, "Oracle App Composer," enables non-technical employees to build enterprise applications via Codex, with Oracle handling deployment and security controls. For small businesses, Oracle also introduced the "Oracle AI SMB Bundle," a free-to-start package including $12,000 in annual cloud credits.

It is worth noting that Oracle included a "Future Product Disclaimer" in the announcement, stating that the described features represent general product direction, do not constitute contractual commitments, and that development, release timing, and pricing may change.
