US AI Data Security Startup Sentra Raises $150M Series C Led by Capital One Ventures
Sentra, a US-Israel based AI data security firm, announced a $150 million Series C round led by Capital One Ventures, bringing its total funding to over $250 million; the company's valuation remains undisclosed.
Enterprise data security company Sentra announced on November 4 that it has secured $150 million in investment. The round was led by Capital One Ventures, the venture arm of the US financial services provider Capital One. According to reports by iThome, this marks Sentra's Series C funding, following a $50 million Series B completed in April 2025. With this latest injection, the company's cumulative fundraising exceeds $250 million. Headquartered in New York and Tel Aviv, Sentra was founded in 2021.
Sentra focuses on securing data accessed by AI agents within corporate environments. As enterprises deploy AI agents into their workflows, managing the permissions these agents hold over sensitive data becomes critical. Sentra's platform scans cloud environments, SaaS applications, and internal systems to identify sensitive data and analyze access rights for users, service accounts, and AI agents. The solution helps detect excessive permissions and anomalous data access behaviors, offering automated remediation such as revoking access or removing high-risk sharing settings. Data scanning occurs within the customer's cloud environment, ensuring raw sensitive data is not transmitted to Sentra.
The new capital will be used to further develop AI-agent data security products and expand sales channels and market reach.
