Owl Labs' survey of 8,000 workers worldwide found that 58% of employees believe their employer has deployed AI-based monitoring tools, and 82% want disclosure of the practice to become a legal requirement.

The same survey recorded behavioral signals of eroding trust: 38% of employees report "working to rule," sticking strictly to their job descriptions, rising to 47% among Gen Z workers.

Owl Labs sells video conferencing and workplace collaboration hardware, and the sample composition and questionnaire design were not published with the report, so the figures should be read as the company's own findings.
