South Korean cybersecurity company Pionlink introduced its agentic artificial intelligence-based Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) platform, "Blue Hunter," on October 27, 2026. The platform aims to counter increasingly automated AI hacking attacks by using AI to simulate attacker perspectives and verify the actual exploitability of vulnerabilities, thereby determining defense priorities.

Blue Hunter operates in two modes: "Blue Mode" continuously explores external attack surfaces and assets, while "Red Mode" uses AI to design attack scenarios and verify exploitability within controlled scopes. This mechanism addresses the traditional security challenge where numerous vulnerabilities exist but actual risks are difficult to distinguish. According to self-reported data from Pionlink's Threat Analysis Center, Blue Hunter discovered 28 undisclosed vulnerabilities in Linux open-source services and content management systems, two of which have been assigned CVE numbers and are expected to be published in December.

Beyond risk identification, Pionlink also demonstrated the real-time blocking capabilities of its web application firewall, "WebFront-K," against AI-automated attacks. These include identifying AI crawlers, detecting malicious syntax, and mitigating credential stuffing attacks. The company describes this combination as a multi-layered defense system of "prevention-blocking-continuous response," intended to shift security personnel's work from managing vulnerability lists to addressing actual risks.
