According to German tech media outlet t3n.de, a new organization called the Association for Human Mathematics (AHM) has recently been established, attracting more than 1,000 mathematicians worldwide, including prominent scholars from MIT, Caltech, and Technical University of Munich. The association's core demand is to protect mathematics as a "human endeavor" and oppose the erosion of the discipline's intellectual foundations by artificial intelligence.

In a statement on its website, the AHM noted that tech companies like OpenAI are using their models to solve long-standing mathematical problems to promote product capabilities, without considering the impact on the mathematical community. The association specifically criticized OpenAI's recent release of 722 papers proving or refuting mathematical problems, calling it not a proof of scientific rigor but a "demonstration of power."

Under the association's guidelines, members commit to not using any AI models in their research and not publishing AI-generated mathematical texts. This collective action is a direct response to the deepening involvement of companies like OpenAI in scientific research, aiming to promote a return to science centered on human understanding.
