Nvidia Reportedly in Early Talks to Buy, Acqui-Hire or Invest More in Reflection AI

Nvidia is reportedly in early talks to acquire, acqui-hire, or further invest in open-weight model developer Reflection AI.

According to the Financial Times, people familiar with the matter said an agreement could come within weeks, though talks could still collapse. Options include a direct purchase, increasing Nvidia's existing $800 million stake alongside chip supply deals, or an acqui-hire where Nvidia hires staff and licenses technology without taking full control. This structure might avoid lengthy regulatory review.

The report follows Reflection's launch of Beam, its first open-weight mixture-of-experts model, five days ago. Neither company has publicly commented.
