Identity Security Firm 1Password Crosses $500M ARR, Citing AI Agent Tool Adoption

Canadian identity security provider 1Password announced on October 22, 2026, that its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) has surpassed $500 million. This marks a significant increase from the $400 million reported in November 2025. The company stated that this acceleration was primarily driven by the growing adoption of its developer and AI security tools, with monthly active usage of these tools increasing by 200% year-over-year.

As AI agents become more prevalent in enterprise workflows, securely granting them access permissions presents a new challenge. 1Password simultaneously launched '1Password for Agents,' a platform that allows users to approve task-specific access for AI agents without exposing underlying credentials to the agent or its model context. The company noted that over 200,000 businesses now use its services, including 85% of the Forbes AI 50 list.
