According to a report by the Financial Times citing sources familiar with the matter, global IT services giant Accenture is considering selling its China business. The entire Greater China operation could be valued at up to $1.5 billion (approximately RMB 10.039 billion).

The report states that Accenture has received unsolicited inquiries regarding the acquisition of its China unit over the past year. Subsequently, the company hired JPMorgan Chase to conduct a strategic review of the business. This potential divestiture comes as Accenture's stock fluctuates, with investors debating whether AI will make the firm a winner or loser in the changing landscape.

Sources indicate that the sale is expected to attract interest from private equity firms and a few strategic investors. To ensure a smooth transition for clients, Accenture may choose to retain a significant minority stake in the business. As of publication, Accenture did not respond to requests for comment, and JPMorgan declined to comment.
