US-based cybersecurity software company CrowdStrike announced on November 3, 2026, its intent to acquire AI observability startup Fiddler at Fal.Con EU 2026. The acquisition aims to integrate Fiddler's technology into CrowdStrike's Falcon platform as a new module named "Falcon Observe," which is expected to reach general availability (GA) in Q4 FY27.

As enterprises increasingly deploy AI agents capable of making autonomous decisions, invoking tools, and taking actions, traditional security controls face challenges. CrowdStrike noted that even within their guardrails, AI agents can pose business risks through incorrect decisions or the use of valid credentials. Consequently, businesses need to evaluate agent behavior before deployment and continuously monitor decision paths and anomalies post-deployment.

Fiddler's AI observability and explainability features will help security teams trace AI agents' reasoning processes, identify misaligned or drifting agents, and meet compliance requirements for audits, regulators, and risk managers. This move marks CrowdStrike's expansion of AI security capabilities from protecting AI systems themselves to proving that businesses can safely and controllably use AI agents.
