CoreWeave Activates New Compute Capacity in Denmark and Announces Global AI Network Backbone Expansion
CoreWeave activates 22.5 MW of compute capacity in Copenhagen and plans to extend its global AI network to the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
U.S.-based AI cloud company CoreWeave (Nasdaq: CRWV) announced on October 27, 2026, that it is expanding its global AI cloud platform by bringing the majority of its planned 22.5 megawatts (MW) of IT capacity online at atNorth’s DEN01 data center in Copenhagen, Denmark. This marks CoreWeave's first deployment in Denmark. The facility, accelerated by NVIDIA Blackwell systems connected with NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand, expands CoreWeave’s European infrastructure footprint to nine data centers across five geographies.
Simultaneously, CoreWeave announced it is building the first global AI backbone network purpose-built for AI workloads at Petabit-scale, connecting locations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. The company plans to begin establishing new points of presence in the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Korea, and Japan later in the fourth quarter of 2026, extending to a full loop in mid-2027. This expansion aims to provide customers with more direct connectivity to its AI cloud platform, reducing infrastructure complexity when moving large volumes of data between regions.
