According to ZDNet Korea, Apple plans to add multi-language support, including Korean, to its artificial intelligence assistant 'Siri AI' in October 2026. The feature previously launched as an English-only beta last month. Reports indicate that Google's Gemini AI model is utilized for certain functions within Siri AI.

To optimize the experience for Korean users, Apple is working with major local developers on integration efforts. Companies known to be participating in this linkage include Naver and Kakao. Additionally, Siri AI will support connections with global applications such as Outlook and Craft.

Siri AI can understand user conversation context and screen information to process tasks continuously across multiple applications. For example, users can find recipes from past travel records and organize ingredients into shopping lists. The feature also includes 'Visual Intelligence,' which recognizes images or screen content taken by the camera, such as event posters, and suggests adding them to the calendar.

Apple emphasized that Siri AI uses AI models only within its security architecture. Even when server computation is required, sessions are terminated and information is deleted after data processing is complete to protect user privacy.
