AI Hardware Startup Aina Releases Smart Ring with Screen and Joystick for Agent Control
Aina launches a $399 smart ring featuring a screen, joystick, and microphone, designed as a dedicated controller for AI agents.
Hardware startup Aina released a smart ring on November 5, 2026, featuring a screen, a joystick, and a microphone that allows users to interact with AI agents and take notes. The $399 ring also includes a speaker for taking calls.
Aina positions the ring as a controller for both AI and non-AI applications. The company previously launched Mirage, a three-key controller that mapped buttons based on apps running on a Mac. The new ring builds on this concept, enabling users to send prompts to agents, set reminders, and dictate notes on their Mac via the built-in microphone.
To differentiate itself in the market, Aina added more controls, including a joystick for navigation and gesture support. The ring's screen displays notifications from the phone or indicates which app is being controlled. According to TechCrunch, the device opens for pre-order on Thursday at an early-bird price of $399, with shipping planned for January 2027.
