US-based AI drug development startup Pathos AI announced on October 23, 2026, that it has closed a $237 million Series E funding round at a $3 billion valuation. The round was led by pharmaceutical giant Bristol Myers Squibb, with participation from existing investors including AstraZeneca, NEA, and General Atlantic.

Pathos AI is developing an artificial intelligence platform called Foundry, which analyzes approximately 200 petabytes of oncological data to identify promising drug molecules and plan clinical trials. CEO Iker Huerga stated that the new capital will primarily finance the company's key priority, the JSKN016 cancer therapy program, along with three other drug initiatives.

The investment is part of a broader strategic collaboration between Pathos AI, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Tempus AI. Under the agreement, Pathos AI will pay Tempus AI $55 million over five years to license anonymized patient data related to neurological conditions. This data will be analyzed using Foundry to help Bristol Myers Squibb improve its clinical trial designs and patient identification.
