South Korean IT service company Saltware announced on October 19 that it has signed a partnership with global cloud security firm Wiz to expand its security business in the cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors. Wiz, a cloud security platform company under Google Cloud, provides risk identification technologies covering code, cloud infrastructure, data, user permissions, and workloads.
Previously, Saltware focused on consulting, building, and operating public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, as well as providing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) services to large Korean enterprises. Through this collaboration, Saltware plans to leverage Wiz's platform capabilities to extend its business boundaries from traditional access control to full-stack security protection across source code, cloud infrastructure, AI models, data, and runtime environments.
Lee Jung-geun, CEO of Saltware, stated that as generative AI and AI agent applications become more widespread, continuously monitoring and managing risks associated with data, cloud assets, and workloads becomes critical. The company aims to combine its cloud deployment expertise with Wiz's technology to help customers establish an integrated security system from system design through operations.
