South Korean software security company Sparrow announced that it will officially launch its AI coding security solution, 'Sparrow MCP', in the Japanese market at the 'Security Days Fall 2026' cybersecurity exhibition held in Tokyo from October 21 to 23.
The solution utilizes the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard enabling AI to interact with external tools and data. Sparrow MCP integrates with mainstream AI coding agents such as OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code to analyze source code and open-source components for security vulnerabilities immediately upon generation, while also providing license information.
Additionally, Sparrow will showcase 'Sparrow Enterprise', which consolidates vulnerability analysis across source code, open-source libraries, and web applications, and automatically generates Software Bill of Materials (SBOM). Its local partner, VeriServe, will present strategies for using these tools to comply with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The CRA imposes security obligations on digital product manufacturers, with key provisions taking effect in December 2027.
