South Korean cloud provider Naver Cloud announced on October 19 that it has launched a free "Naver Cloud Security Self-Diagnosis" online service. The tool is designed to help enterprises evaluate their current cybersecurity status and identify areas for improvement without hiring specialized security personnel or undergoing complex audits.
The self-diagnosis consists of 21 questions across seven domains, covering traditional infrastructure security such as network access control and data protection. Notably, Naver Cloud added a dedicated "AI Usage Environment Security" module to address emerging threats associated with the widespread adoption of generative AI and AI agents within corporations. This module checks readiness against automated AI-driven attacks, policies to prevent sensitive data leakage during employee use of AI services, and access control management for internal AI systems.
Naver Cloud stated that many small and medium-sized businesses struggle to independently assess their response levels to these new threats. After completing the survey, users receive improvement suggestions tailored to industry-specific regulations and can connect with security experts for further consultation. The service is available on the Naver Cloud Platform website and requires no personal information input.
