South Korean IT Firm MegaZone Soft Wins Top Ministry Award for Generative AI Transformation

MegaZone Soft, a South Korean IT cloud service provider, announced on October 19 that it has won the Grand Prize in the AI Industry Innovation category at the 20th Science and Technology Innovation Awards. The award, presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT, recognizes the company's achievements in applying generative artificial intelligence across corporate operations and supporting AI Transformation (AX).

A subsidiary of MegaZone Cloud, MegaZone Soft was selected for its project titled "Building a Generative AI-Based Enterprise-Wide Work Platform and AX Innovation." The judges acknowledged the company's ability to integrate generative AI into business processes, establish an AI agent-based work environment, and provide comprehensive support for employee education and organizational change management.

The company employs a "Customer Zero" strategy, prioritizing the application of AI within its own internal operations before leveraging this experience to assist external clients with their AI transformations. Recent projects include implementing an AI-based integrated work environment for Nongshim Group across 21 domestic and international subsidiaries, as well as introducing similar systems to cosmetics manufacturer C&C International. MegaZone Soft also provides consulting and training to help client employees develop and utilize AI agents directly.

CEO Jin Geon stated that the award validates the tangible changes brought about by integrating Google Cloud-based generative AI into daily work environments. He added that the company will continue to refine its internal AX innovations and apply the accumulated expertise to help customers transition to AI-driven operations.
