Vessl AI, a South Korean GPU cloud service provider, announced on October 16 that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Investment & Securities regarding 'GPU Financing.' Under this agreement, the securities firm will assist Vessl AI in securing funding and optimizing investment scales for its GPU infrastructure expansion projects.
Founded in 2020, Vessl AI operates as a 'neocloud' company, purchasing GPU resources and leasing them to AI enterprises via cloud platforms. Its core technology, 'Fluid Computing,' aggregates dispersed GPU resources. Current clients include SK Biopharmaceuticals and Upstage. This partnership aims to address the high upfront capital expenditure typical of GPU-intensive businesses by leveraging the structured finance capabilities of traditional securities firms. Specific financing amounts and terms will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis.
