ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) released its preliminary earnings forecast for the first three quarters of 2026 on October 16. The company projects total operating revenue between 265 billion and 270 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 725.96% to 741.54%. Net profit attributable to shareholders is expected to reach between 131 billion and 132.5 billion yuan, a substantial turnaround from a net loss of 5.28 billion yuan in the same period last year.
This explosive growth is primarily attributed to the rapid rise in global AI computing power demand. Since the second half of 2025, the DRAM industry has experienced a significant upswing, with supply shortages driving sharp price increases. CXMT also benefited from expanded production capacity, improved process technology, and higher wafer output per unit, leading to economies of scale.
As a core player in China's domestic DRAM industry, CXMT's financial reversal not only reflects improved operational efficiency but also quantifies how the AI infrastructure boom translates into economic value for upstream memory chip manufacturers. It is important to note that these figures are preliminary estimates by the finance department and have not yet been audited; final data will be confirmed in the official Q3 report.
