Salesforce has agreed to acquire Loops, an artificial intelligence analytics platform, to embed AI agents into its Tableau business.
Loops uses machine learning to monitor key performance indicators, explain drivers of change, and recommend actions. Its technology operates through Slack and email, proactively alerting teams without requiring user-initiated analysis.
The transaction is expected to close in early November during Salesforce's 2027 financial year. Financial terms were not disclosed. The move reflects a broader shift in enterprise software towards AI systems that interpret data and support decisions rather than simply presenting information.
