According to a new Visier report, 48% of employees admitted to exaggerating their AI usage or expertise to colleagues and managers, while 45% felt pressured to use AI at work.
The data reveals a phenomenon of 'performative compliance' in enterprise AI rollout. Although 54% of workers say AI has significantly changed their roles over the past two years, only 21% strongly agree that their employer provides sufficient training and support.
The report notes that upskilling opportunities (32%) are the most sought-after change by workers, followed closely by greater transparency (31%). Andrea Derler, Principal Researcher at Visier, stated that employees want to be equipped and informed, not shielded from AI-driven change.
