According to the Financial Times, people familiar with the matter said an agreement could come within weeks, though talks could still collapse. Options include a direct purchase, increasing Nvidia's existing $800 million stake alongside chip supply deals, or an acqui-hire where Nvidia hires staff and licenses technology without taking full control. This structure might avoid lengthy regulatory review.
The report follows Reflection's launch of Beam, its first open-weight mixture-of-experts model, five days ago. Neither company has publicly commented.
