According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Apple's first smart home hub will be named "HomeView."
The device is expected to be officially announced at the "Welcome Home" event on October 13, with shipments beginning in November. It features a floating screen design similar to the iMac G4, mounted on a speaker base, and will come in Space Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Pink.
Hardware-wise, HomeView will utilize the A18 chip. The software core is AI Siri, primarily relying on voice interaction. The product runs Apple's own apps but does not support the App Store for third-party downloads; users may project certain widgets from their iPhone to the device display.
