Sharpa unveiled its first fully self-developed general-purpose humanoid robot, the D01, along with the new-generation W02 dexterous hand and the AE01 exoskeleton data glove at IROS.
The D01 features electronic skin covering its upper body, with a tactile sampling rate of 100Hz and force resolution of 0.2N. The company states this design allows the robot to perceive contact forces and adjust movements in real-time, similar to human reflexes, rather than relying solely on visual planning.
The W02 hand reduces active degrees of freedom from 22 to 21 compared to the previous generation but achieves a 30% size reduction and a "zero grasp radius" for handling small objects like chopsticks. The AE01 glove captures high-fidelity human operation data with bidirectional tactile feedback.
