Anthropic announced on October 8 that Claude has added two new beta features: Dashboards and Motion. Simultaneously, Docs, Slides, and Design have exited beta and are now available on every Claude plan, including the free tier.
Dashboards allows users to connect to data platforms like BigQuery or Snowflake, or CRMs like Salesforce, to generate real-time visualizations via natural language queries. The feature displays the underlying SQL logic for transparency. Motion creates editable, code-based animated explainers rather than using AI video generation models, ensuring text and chart accuracy.
This update expands Claude from a conversational assistant into a workflow tool capable of BI analysis and presentation creation. Currently, Dashboards is in beta on paid plans, while Motion is restricted to Team and Enterprise tiers. Enterprise admins must manually enable these features in settings.
