Tencent announced on October 8 that its AI office product WorkBuddy has launched a standalone file browser.
Users can now right-click files in Windows Explorer or macOS Finder to open Word, Excel, PDFs, and other formats in a dedicated WorkBuddy window. The interface integrates the AI assistant 'Buddy', supporting multiple tabs where each file maintains its own conversation context.
The feature allows users to select text segments for AI rewriting or polishing, with changes saved directly back to the local file. Markdown and HTML files auto-save under specific conditions.
