Armadin raises $255.5M Series B at a valuation above $2.5B
Kevin Mandia's AI offensive-security startup closes a large Series B; funds go to R&D and go-to-market.
Cybersecurity startup Armadin announced on October 1 that it has raised $255.5 million in Series B funding at a valuation exceeding $2.5 billion, co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel.
Founder Kevin Mandia previously built breach-investigation firm Mandiant, which Alphabet acquired for $5.4 billion in 2022. The new company uses swarms of AI agents to simulate attacks, find weak points in customer infrastructure, and generate remediation advice.
The company says one customer project ran 26,000 agents that scanned more than 25,000 assets and found 38 verified attack paths; those figures are the company's own. The new funds will go toward research, AI training and go-to-market programs.
