Atomic, a supply-chain startup founded by ex-Tesla planning leaders, announced a $12.5 million Series A on September 29, led by Klass Capital and Madrona Venture Group, bringing total funding to just over $15 million.
Atomic's software simulates supply-chain scenarios to decide how much inventory a company should hold and where, and can execute purchasing decisions automatically. Per TechCrunch, DoorDash and HelloFresh are customers; board member Jon McNeill said DoorDash runs roughly 90% of its purchasing across hundreds of sites on the system.
McNeill founded DVx Ventures, where Atomic was incubated, so his claims — including that annual recurring revenue quintupled this year — are interested-party statements, not audited figures. The round's valuation was not disclosed.
