Danish cybersecurity company Sovera Security has received roughly €535,000 (4 million DKK) from EIFO, the Danish Export and Investment Fund.
Per Tech.eu, the company was founded by Søren Laustrup, who previously founded security vendor LogPoint. Sovera builds AI-driven threat detection and response for critical infrastructure operators and mid-to-large enterprises, running its own data centre to host the GPUs behind its platform, with data and security decisions kept under European control.
The funding will go toward AI capabilities, hiring and expansion across Denmark, the Nordics and wider Europe. The amount is small and no valuation or round stage was disclosed, but a state fund backing the "data stays in Europe" security route is a signal worth tracking.
