Meitu H1 net profit up 40% as AI subscriptions become the main engine

Meitu's first-half 2026 net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 619 million, up 40% year on year, with AI subscriptions as the main growth driver.
According to the interim results as reported by IT之家, first-half revenue was RMB 2.213 billion, up 22.1%; core imaging and design product revenue reached RMB 1.769 billion, up 30.9%. Annual recurring revenue from AI productivity apps grew to about RMB 6.2 billion, paid subscribers exceeded 18.44 million, and growth outside mainland China was roughly twice that of the mainland.
Profit grew faster than revenue, but gross margin was 71.5%, down 3.8 percentage points. Productivity app monthly active users hit a record 33 million, with overseas MAU up more than 80% year on year — internationalization is the next thing to watch.
