Bessemer Venture Partners announced on September 23 that it has closed two new funds totaling $5.75 billion, all directed at AI.
Of that, $1.75 billion is dedicated to seed and early-stage investing and $4 billion to growth-stage companies. The firm says it has backed more than 260 AI-native companies since 2022 and deployed about $3 billion so far, spanning compute, infrastructure, foundation models, dev tools, app-layer startups and agentic tech.
The size and stage split come from the firm's own announcement as reported by TechCrunch; deployment pace and returns remain unproven. Partner Byron Deeter called AI-native companies the fastest-scaling category the firm has ever backed — that is the firm's own claim, not an independent measurement.
