Vast Data launches confidential computing environment, shipping only in Q1 2027
DataEnclave is in preview, using Nvidia TEEs to isolate models and sensitive data; real adoption depends on delivery and customers after Q1 2027.

Vast Data has introduced DataEnclave, an isolated runtime built on Nvidia's confidential computing technology. It is in preview now and is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2027 through hardware partners including Cisco and Supermicro.
The product targets banks, defense agencies and pharmaceutical companies that cannot move regulated data to external AI services. It encrypts memory and NVLink traffic and lets customers keep their own keys; Vast says the capability is included in its existing AI operating system at no extra charge.
The security benefit is so far the vendor's own characterization, with no customer deployments or independent verification; a preview is not available capacity.
