NVIDIA announced on October 15, 2026, an expansion of its Nemotron large language model family with three new models designed for AI agent systems: Nemotron 3.5 Super VL, Bolt 74B-A9B, and the upcoming Bolt E4B. These releases aim to cover the full range of agent deployments, from large enterprise servers to edge devices.
Nemotron 3.5 Super VL is a 120-billion-parameter open-weight multimodal model developed in collaboration with the Nemotron Coalition. It supports instruction following, tool use, and multistep business workflows. NVIDIA states it offers comparable power to its largest reasoning models at one-fifth the size, with outputs nearly five times faster than other models in its class. By providing open weights, NVIDIA enables organizations to post-train the model on their own data and deploy it within their own infrastructure, maintaining data sovereignty and privacy.
Bolt 74B-A9B is a smaller model based on the Super VL architecture, utilizing a hybrid mixture-of-experts design that activates 9 billion of its 74 billion parameters at a time. Through 2-bit quantization, it fits within 24GB of memory, allowing it to run locally on enterprise workstations or PC GPUs for tasks like coding and debugging without cloud dependency.
The upcoming Bolt E4B reduces memory requirements further to 4GB, targeting edge deployment on GeForce RTX, Jetson, and Spark platforms for wearables, smart home devices, and automotive interfaces. NVIDIA also released open datasets covering agentic tool use, finance, safety, and vision-language understanding.
